Songbird singing folk spirituals in Staten Island picks up guitar and starts strumming songs in coffeehouses and dimly lit bars around NYC and New Jersey (2006-2009). Grows weary of city streets and drives far, far away to a land of festivals and street fairs, moonlit campfires and old growth trees.
Settles into Seattle for a spell, playing house parties in Kenmore, coffeehouses in Ballard and Bothell, and pirate-themed bars in West Seattle. Trades in cozy chambers for the open road: slumbering in mountain creek beds under star-filled Northwest skies, curling up on stranger's couches, building a nest of nylon tent material and used car seats. Angels appear in lucid dreams, whispering songs of redemption, salvation, of the soul seeking some sort of divine reassurance as the body drifts in and out of strange beds, wandering small towns and big cities, heart longing for true love, breaking and being broken again and again and again. She roots, uproots, and plays scattered shows in Bellingham and Olympia WA (and surrounding areas), then returns to her New York homeland in the spring of 2014.
Western New York born and raised, she is currently singing and strumming back in NYC and recording her first studio album at PonderRosa Studios in New Jersey. Expected CD release is fall 2015.
"All I Need" and "Drift Away" were recorded by Jeff Curtin of The Minstrels in Rochester, NY from 2007 to 2008, pre west coast wandering years.
